Fall Winter Hair trends-Retro wave and Retro Bob

The big fashion trend from the f/w catwalk was “retro-modernism” and that influenced the hairstyle as well – sexy retro waves and retro bob.  Retro waves are big loose curls that reminds us of Old Hollywood.  The look is glamourous and sophisticated.  Retro bob is just as popular of a style with a boyish yet feminine haircut.  This look is a classic bob with geometric shapes.  You can’t go wrong with both styles since they are so sassy and you’ll be one step closer to be the season’s hair trendsetter.

Get the perfect waves
Towel-dry freshly washed hair and apply a volumizing mousse.  Comb through to make sure the mousse is evenly distributed.  With your palms, gently push hair into waves, then clip waves into place.  “This helps achieve a controlled wave with a finished, not frizzy, look,” says Ted Giza, a stylist at the Avon Salon & Spa in New York City. Blow-dry with a diffuser attachment.  When hair is dry, remove clips and separate waves with your fingers.  Add extra gleam by smoothing two or three drops of shine serum over tresses. Do not brush hair after styling, or you’ll wreck your waves.

Retro bob
Keep it sweet and short.  Use a texturizer to create more of an edgy look.  Don’t forget to spray a shine mist for that healthy shiny hair!
