The model of Short Layer Hair

For a basic layered cut, normally there will be three layers.  The shortest layer will be closest to the top of your head, and the longest will be the layer that is at the bottom.  The hair can be layered on the entire head, but it can also just be layered around the face in order to frame it.  The layers are also able to be combined with curls, bangs, and other styles as well.  When layered, many women like to also have highlights added to their hair.  Layers are able to be styled in a number of different ways.  Some women like layers that are choppy and angular and are easily visible.  Yet others like to have layers that are not really obvious.  It is really important that you find a hairstylist that knows how to cut layers and that will do a good job with your hair.  Having a hairstylist that you trust is really important.
